Jack Halsey is Portland, Oregon native and an environmental science student at Pitzer College, in Southern California. Jack has been wheel throwing ceramics since 2012, taking numerous courses including Modern and Contemporary Ceramics, Beginning Wheel Throwing, and Independent Studies in Ceramics. His work has been featured at the Oregon College of Arts and Crafts (OCAC) gallery, nominated in the Oregon Potters Association (OPA) High School Ceramics Competition, and displayed twice at Scripps College's art office gallery. Halsey specializes in throwing large vessels, and his work is easily recognizable by its unique and experimental glazes, which he often formulates himself.
